Benefits Of Groundnuts (Peanuts)

The peanut, also known as the groundnut and the goober and taxonomically classified as Arachis hypogaea, is a legume crop grown mainly for its edible seeds. It is widely grown in the tropics and subtropics, being important to both small and large commercial producers. Groundnuts are good for you because they contain the following: -Niacin, Folate, Pantothenic Acid, Thiamin, Chlorine and Vitamin E.

The following minerals are also found in Groundnuts: -Magnesium, Phosphorus, Potassium, Zinc, Iron, Copper Manganese, and Selenium.

Eating groundnuts actually reduces the risk of Heart Disease and does not make you add weight. Groundnuts are high in fat, but it is the good fat that enhances better health.

Eating healthy means everything you put in your mouth must be in moderation.

If you eat too much groundnuts like in most foods, it might become dangerous, instead of helping your heart health, it might increase your LDL which is the bad cholesterol.
