“10” Foods Good For Women

Eating healthy is important for everyone. But some foods are very good for issues that affect women, like breast cancer, pregnancy and brittle bones.

1. Beans
Beans have lots of protein. There are no fats in beans and they are very high in fiber. Beans can reduce your blood pressure, lower blood sugar and heart rate.

2. Grape Fruits
Because of flavonoids found in grape fruits, it is believed that it may lower the risk of certain types of strokes and may also help your heart health. Grape Fruits may not combine well with your medication, so make sure you consult with your doctor before you consume lots of this fruit.

3. Asparagus
This bone building vegetables saturated with vitamin K has you covered. It is full of folate, which help prevent birth defects like spina bifida.

4. Berries and Cherries
These colorful fruits in pink, purple, red and blue are not just sweet to the taste, but are full of flavonoids and antioxidants, which can protect healthy cells from damage.
Berries help keep your brain sharper as you get older. The vitamin C they contain help build collagen, the protein that keeps your skin firm and smooth.

Pawpaw’s red or deep yellow color is from beta carotene (like in carrots) and Lycopene (in tomatoes and water melon)  Lycopene lowers your chance of getting cervical and breast cancers. The antioxidants therein keeps cholesterol and blood pressure at healthy levels, thereby lowering the risk of heart disease.

6. Plain Low-fat Yogurt
You need more calcium when you are over 50. Yogurt is packed full of it. Look for the kind enriched with vitamin D, to help your body use the minerals better.

7. Sardines
They are full of healthy fatty acids, vitamin D and calcium. Their omega-3 fats can improve the quality of breast milk says experts. They have less mercury than most other fish.

8. Avocado (Pear)
They are full of the good fats. Experts say avocado rich foods or diet help reduce belly fat, protect the eyes and skin

9. Sweet Potatoes
Sweet Potatoes contain copper, fiber, vitamin B6, potassium and iron. They are the total package. They are also full of beta carotene and vitamin A. All these nutrients protect your baby during pregnancy.

10. Spinach
Super food spinach is loaded with folate and lutein. Excellent for prenatal nutrients. Lowers the chances of getting dementia, heart disease and colon cancer. Lutein protects the eyes and may ward off some wrinkles.
